Cruising Canoes Beach Cleanup

March 18 @ 9:00 am - 2:00 pm

Give back to the natural spaces you love by joining Cruising Canoes and Laura Nash, the host of The Zero Waste Countdown Podcast, for a special Beach Cleanup event at Sandbanks Provincial Park! There are more than 240,000 pieces of micro plastics in Lake Ontario and many larger pieces end up on our shores. Oftentimes plastic debris is mistaken for food by marine life and the accumulation can be fatal. Let’s make some positive change together! 😀

Join us March 18 for this all ages event, a perfect outing for parents and children to get outside together, meet some new friends, and clean up one of the best beaches in Canada. Bring a reusable water bottle and gloves if you need them so we don’t create more waste while we clean it up.

We will be joined by Jay Bridges of Jay Bridges Photography, Scotty Bowman of the Steel House Weightlifting Club, and Spencer Smith of Immerse Spa.

Waste pickup : Quinte Waste Solutions

Carpooling available at Quinte Mall at 9:00 by Denny’s. Twiggy can take 10 people with him in the Cruising Canoes Bus.
